The Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society hosts its 36th annual Showcase House from Sept. 7-28. A 30-year-old classic English-style brick and stone home in River Forest will be transformed by 16 local designers, with the proceeds to benefit The Children’s Clinic of Oak Park. 801 Park Ave., River Forest; 708-848-0528, ext. 300.

Sprout Home’s

Two “Introduction to Oriental Rug” seminars will be held on September 5th and 10th at 7 p.m. Seminars are free, but reservations are requested.
