Kathryn Kerrigan launches a line of separates and eveningwear for tall women

Local designer Kathryn Kerrigan, 27, knows how hard it can be for tall women to dress in style. A former college basketball player with a size 11 shoe, she began designing footwear in 2006 in sizes 9 and up and quickly garnered a devoted following among WNBA players. This spring, Kerrigan launches a line of separates and eveningwear for tall women. "When I buy a T-shirt, it's always too short," she says. "Pants are even harder." So her silk/wool trousers sport 34- to 38-inch inseams; her silk dresses accommodate longer torsos. Kerrigan's line debuts Feb. 16th at the Orren Pickell show room (1799 Willow Rd., Northfield).
